Our full-service villa is a Neoclassical landmark, a gem overlooking Lake Como’s shores—and just a few steps away from the Grand Hotel itself.
Villa Sola Cabiati is a trove of sui generis splendour, from its immaculately-preserved frescoes and stuccowork to the exquisite manicured gardens that surround it. A stay here is a genuine—and marvellous—step back in time.
If these walls could talk….
With roots going back to the 16th century, the Villa was acquired by the Dukes of Serbelloni in the 18th, and expanded along the Neoclassical style of the day. It remains full of period heirlooms and artwork—including the bed in which Napoleon and Josepine Bonaparte slept when they visited the Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan.
With its original, exquisite terrazzo floors, frescoes by the school of Tiepolo, and hand-crafted Murano chandeliers, it's a living museum—a testament to the grandeur and splendor of Lake Como eras past.
At your (and only your) service
A full staff — butler and housekeepers, chambermaid, and private chef — is at your disposal at all times. Whether it’s a whim for a midnight gelato or an impromptu dinner for two in the garden, lit by dozens of lanterns, meeting all your needs and wants is their mission.
A bygone way of life, beautifully revisited
Six suites, each with ensuite bathroom and sitting area, comfortably sleep 12 guests; they're filled with antiques, tapestries, museum-quality paintings and delicate majolica ceramics.
The private pool sits in the park behind the Villa, while the stunning arabesque gardens in front are ideal for candlelit dinners and morning strolls.
Eminently private, but with wide, unfettered views over the Lake, Villa Sola Cabiati has its own jetty, to make explorations— close to effortless.
Less than a mile down the road from the Grand Hotel, Villa Sola Cabiati’s location is ideal for both luxuriating in total privacy and exploring the mid-Lake area’s endless attractions. With majestic mountains behind, and the serene mirror of the Lake in front, it’s perfectly immersed in nature.
